As frustrating as this entire mess is, it also makes me feel insanely warm and fuzzy about fandom. I love being part of a community that's so damn intelligent, not to mention clearly more educated than the doctors researching us. They had no clue whom they were engaging; I secretly hope they're quaking in their boots. :)

I could not believe it when he "explained" the DSM to you. At first it seemed like the worst kind of arrogance, but now I'm thinking that maybe he's just not that bright, and that I'm mistaking "talking down" with "talking at a low altitude to begin with."
