You assume the researchers will use any results gathered in a responsible way. The fact they had no age notice, no real discussion of their research plan, no informed consent or myriad of other generally accepted signs of an actual research project leads me to believe that they were only interested in data that served their purposes or maybe, if I'm being particularly cynical, prurient interests.

That and they want to make money off our information without any sort of participation in or return to our group. I'm not down with that.
