I am really chagrined I can't remember that story. ARGH!
AHAHA WAIT! I FOUND IT! Because I thought I remembered scanning one of the other stories from the same anthology into my computer, so I looked on my hard drive and found it. Then I searched THAT title & author and found the collection it was in, and lo and behold! The corning story I read: "Corncobs," by Dominic Santi. Haha now I want to hunt it down again and re-read it. :3 I found part of it google books, but they don't have the whole thing (it's missing some pages, plus the ending). Hmmm, looks like he calls it "cornholing" rather than "corning."
