One of the things thingswithwings and I are trying to do with the kink_bingo wiki is to expand the fandoms, and more importantly the types of fandoms, that we depict in the images that accompany the text. The examples I come up with are almost always from my fannish history -- I can think of a Buffy example for anything -- and TVtropes is not always descriptive enough to be helpful.

So, in the interests of expanding the fandoms, I have some questions for you guys! I'd love to hear about examples from comics or live action tv or anime or movies or things you know I've seen or things you know I haven't seen. (Episode or issue names/numbers/plot summaries/some other way to find things would be helpful but isn't necessary.)

1. Animal-people! People who turn into animals, people who have animalistic features, people who wear animal outfits, people who act like animals a la Wolverine.

2. Bondage! Bondage is so easy to do that I always go "oh, whatever, any scene I've seen on tv," but really I ought to expand the fandoms. We'd love all kinds of bondage: straightjackets, handcuffs, chained up, complicated rope bondage, hogtied, tied to chairs, tied to someone else, anything.

3. Mind control! Or hypnosis or amnesia or anything similar.

4. Sensation play type stuff -- people brushed with needles or fur or enjoying their silk shirts or whatever. Or blindfolds! Blindfolds are good.

5. Anything that your fandom is really good at! Like, Star Trek TOS is hugely into mind control, and Veronica Mars is all over voyeurism, but I'd never have known that without watching those shows, so what am I missing from your favorite show?

There was a terrible show in the late '90s called Roar that I loved anyway, which had a fantastic shirtless branding scene. Also, off the top of my head, wet and messy/dirty with a guy going down on a woman in a mud bath, and begging/humiliation. I can totally get you pix and/or video clips from my DVDs.

Also:

- Brimstone for tattoos - pretty much every episode ended with one burning off and Peter Horton making wince-y orgasm faces
- Thoughtcrimes for mind control
- There's a great gun play moment in the movie The Professional where Gary Oldman trails his handgun over Natalie Portman's jaw

...It's hard to do this after thinking "John Sheppard!" for just about every Bingo square. :D

A shirtless branding scene! Oh, awesome -- I'd love a video clip or even just an episode number. The other scenes sound cool, too, (begging! WAM!) but branding is a rare kink in the fandoms I know so I'm really excited about that :)

I have that problem, too! It's all John Sheppard all the time.

So, I didn't forget about the Roar branding clip, but the day after I discovered that there was an unknown kind of copy protection on that DVD, my vidding computer imploded and I won't have it back for another few weeks yet. Alas.

Still not giving up on the Roar thing. But! X-Men II is on, and Wolverine just put out his cigar in the palm of his hand and made a wincy face that in Kink Bingo Wiki context could look even dirtier than it just did. It's 25 minutes into the movie TV time, so, subtract commercials from that. Wolverine had just returned from his trip and walked into the Cerebro room with Xavier.

... WOW. What on earth is the context of the branding scene? Like, he wants it, but it can't make a mark -- is he immortal or something?

He is totally immortal! He is 400 when the series takes place. He is Longinus, killer of Jesus, cursed to walk the earth in emo Heath Ledger-hating pain forever.

This show was awesomely bad, and if there's a good square for it, I am definitely planning a Roar vid for this year's Bingo - for me, for the three people who watched it while it was on the air, and for everyone who needs to see the fantabulousness that is Longinus.

Re: the branding scene, he designed that mark and tattooed all the Queen's soldiers in a show of loyalty to him. He tried to brand himself, but it didn't stick. Then, right after the scene here, he branded her - though the scene cut out on her gasp off-screen. (If you want, I can re-cut tomorrow night to include that all.)
