Just a technical point: cookies can and most do expire after a certain interval - their cookie is apparently short-lived and seems to expire after about 24hours. (I only it because some other people have remarked in comments elsewhere about this short life - I didn't take the survey myself).
So it's possible Ogi's not actually lying about this.
