It's an amazingly happy show for a show that doesn't shy away from the ordinary heartbreak of living. Another reason I love it, of course.
My girlfriend and I were completely unspoiled for the final episode. How unspoiled? So unspoiled we didn't even realise we were watching the final episode. There was a lot of clinging and disbelief in the final minutes.
