Smallville and Angel

Whadaya mean I can't access my friends page on Slash Night?
100% non-linear random thoughts!
The whole Smallville thing was kinda disappointing; they did the "scar keeps Clark virginal" thing as many people projected. And Lana was still annoying. At least Chloe isn't evil. I was really worried that she was going to be Evil for reasons of being Scorned, and that would just be depressing.
And I really, really didn't need to see Lex's sunburn blisters. I was hoping he'd be all cool about his shipwreckedness, and instead he (appears to be) hallucinating. Greeeeaaaaat. His hallucination/multiple personality/alternate-Lex-with-father-of-doom was SO hitting on him. Also, could he get off the island very, very, very soon, and go kick some ass? Because Clark sure ain't. His dad gave his other dad permission to go whallop him and bring him home, possibly the LAMEST way to end the Clark-as-a-runaway thing ANYONE could have come up with. The red-K off and then back on was a nice touch, though. And was that his own blood he was steeling from the vault?
I now want an icon with a picture of a half-smiling, half-smirking Angel, with the text "I have no problem spanking men."
And also there was plot.
The whole thing was pretty fun. Funny, set up a nice worry/new job for Gunn (who looks killer in a suit). And M. Boreanz has lost some weight and looks much less pudgy, she says, totally superficial. Bringing Harmony back was a good idea, because she can do the mindless babble thing that is sometimes necessary for someone else to riff off of.
Fred's fun, and I really really did enjoy her brief moment of yelling at her lab minions. You tell 'em, Fred! And now tell your main man minion to get sing in Lorne's direction, because you wussed out there so he's gonna turn out to be evil.
Angel so delighted about car and helicopter: very cute, in a five-year-old way. Awwwww. He has a helicopter! The liaison-chick annoys me. I don't care if she's supposed to be good, or evil, or moderate, or Arnold Schwarzenneger, or what. She needs to be kicked, because her vocal inflections irk me.
The Angel/Spike shippers must be so happy. Except a lot of them like their Angel and Spike evil, which this new soul-having AND both-in-same-show thing sorta ruins.
Whatever. I'm happy. They can snipe at each other, and kick ass together, and there will be many leather jackets and jokes about spanking. That is my ideal show. (Well, not really. In my ideal show, then Ripper will show up and snipe at Wesley, in a very intellectual-with-stubble-and-tweed way, and will hold his glasses over a mantelpiece and look tired. Then Fred will give them new information, and Gunn will look all ready-to-rumble, and then the lot of them will go kick ass. And Wes and Giles will ride a motorcycle to the ass-kicking. THAT's my ideal show.)
