Does anyone know Peja's (the archivist of WWOMB) e-mail?
I was googling for a story that used to be on CKoS before they revamped and didn't reupload all the old stuff; it was a Seaquest/ST:Voy crossover in three parts. Not a great story, but one of my go-to stories for explaining how some universes permit almost any crossover attempt (Heinlein's future history, where you can jump universes, anything with omniscient beings like Q, and so on). And I happened to google seaquest voyager kim lucas...
... and the first hit was a story on Peja's archive which is the same story, except with ST:TNG and Wesley Crusher in the place of Voy and Paris Kim. It's not a search-and-replace plagiarism, though; it's the original story, paraphrased. Same plot, same opening scene, similar dialogue. (Apparently the plagiarist didn't think that having all of Lucas's friends die in the season 2 finale was quite enough trauma, because she's added a bit of abuse with possible suicide attempts in. Still the same story.)
Problems: of course, I don't have the original set of stories. That's why I was googling them. And I don't know who wrote them, so I can't email the original author, so basically I have no proof, just a suspicion. But I am damn sure that this was not written first -- for one, I read the originals back in at least '99, maybe earlier. And that was a series of three full stories -- the plagiarized one is kind of the first chapter of the first story. (And also is not spellchecked.)
I hate to let it stand, but I'm not sure what I can do without the originals. Or without Peja's address -- I can't find it on the WWOMB, and her personal webpage isn't loading from the WWOMB link. Le sigh.
(ETA: The plagiarized story even says it's a ST:Voy crossover in the story notes on the referring WWOMB page. Oy.)
