So there are lots of things I could say, but first I'd like to do a brief poll. See, there are three big things that tons of people on my flist disagree on (and vehemently!), so I wondered what the percentages are each way.

Other than that, I would only like to point out that I totally predicted Snape's half-bloodishness books ago, as the only explanation for the Slytherins letting him get beat up -- I mean, they should protect him from Gryffindors and beat him up themselves if it were just something boring like whinyness. (Also, Snape's not old enough for that to have been the current printing of his textbook -- used books? Poverty?)

Also, trioshippiness yay.

Also, Mundungus was not stealing a locket from Sirius (that we know of). But he was stealing goblets that Sirius hated. And if RAB isn't Regulus (who reformed, yay! which will probably lead to all sorts of bad slash, boo!), I will eat my hat.

At the very end, they explained that Snape's potions book had been his mother's.

RAB is totally Regulus. Unless it's, like, someone we've never heard of.

Also, I am torn on your "bits without major plot" question, as I really enjoy the descriptions of classes, etc, but I dislike the neverending relationship drama that also slowed the plot here. So it depends which plotless bits you mean.
