Grrrrrr. Tinhats on list drive me bonkers.

A "tinhat" is someone who has unreasonable convictions that cannot be changed by reason. It's after the people who wear aluminum foil hats to block the alien mind rays. I mean, no matter how much you tell them that there are no alien mind rays, they won't take the hat off, right?

And it's used in fandom, too. For people who say things that directly contradict canon and refuse to believe that the things that contradict them happened, even if you point out the episode. Also it's used to describe people who believe that, for example, Billy and Dom really are sleeping together, and sending secret messages to them with their shirt colors. But I didn't mean them.

Actually, it's used to describe people who believe that Elijah and Dom are sleeping together and sending messages. I'm not sure if there's anyone who really thinks Billy and Dom are really sleeping together. If there is, they're not that vocal about it.
