Gmail went boom

And I kind of want to write a postage stamp-style story about it.
See, when
thingswithwings tried to use igoogle, it told her she could only have one interest -- corning. This suggested hacking to us, you know, maybe a little. But, being the naturally curious people we are, we looked up corning in urbandictionary.com.
This revealed that gmail is currently interested only in:
1. smoking pot
2. being in an upstate New York town
and/or
3. inserting corn cobs or kernels into its ass
And thusly:
bitter_crimson: Hahaha, all of the above!
bitter_crimson: If only we had one more definition, then it could be a postage stamp story! XD
eruthros: drugs/alcohol, object penetration (unusual), AND ... um, whatever being in an upstate NY town is.
bitter_crimson: I'll bet you could roleplay in there somehow
bitter_crimson: For being in an upstate NY town
bitter_crimson: Roleplay/AU historical!
eruthros: Totally!
eruthros: Or if it's in the Rust Belt, it could be domestic/tradesman
bitter_crimson: That could work well with the corning
bitter_crimson: It could be on a farm
eruthros: yes!
eruthros: it's totally on a farm.
eruthros: Now we just need a fourth definition.
bitter_crimson: Hmmm
eruthros: oh my god
eruthros: the fourth is totally consent play
bitter_crimson: Aha!
eruthros: it's hackers/gmail noncon!
bitter_crimson: XD XD That is so fantastic/perfect
eruthros: (
thingswithwings says she also feels USED.)
bitter_crimson: Hahaha
So that is the true story of what gmail is doing right now.

Date: 2009-09-01 10:58 pm (UTC)AHAHA WAIT! I FOUND IT! Because I thought I remembered scanning one of the other stories from the same anthology into my computer, so I looked on my hard drive and found it. Then I searched THAT title & author and found the collection it was in, and lo and behold! The corning story I read: "Corncobs," by Dominic Santi. Haha now I want to hunt it down again and re-read it. :3 I found part of it google books, but they don't have the whole thing (it's missing some pages, plus the ending). Hmmm, looks like he calls it "cornholing" rather than "corning."
