Seriously, he is practically shouting "top me! top me! somebody top me! look at how bratty I am!" Harry Kim: "... you know, it's not polite to just dive right into bratty sub without negotiating first." Janeway: "okay, I will give you an order, no problem." Chakotay: "how about some dirty talk? Also, I both owe you and own you." The Doctor: "I am also an authority figure, btw."

Also: I missed a lot of these guys. Janeway is awesome (and has not yet learned to put up her bun with 100 pins), Tuvok is marvelously deadpan-snarky, B'Elanna is so much fun, Tuvok and Neelix are a perfect comedy duo, Harry Kim is always getting kidnapped unless it's Paris's turn, Chakotay is great (and listen, his responses to Paris's hipster racism are brilliant), and Chakotay and Janeway respect each other.

i just watched the voyager pilot for the very first time ever (and will be watching the whole series over the next few months), and. yes. wow. brattiest sub!

Ha, well, I seem to have just started a rewatch, and doing it while knitting/browsing the internet/etc allows me to skip the irritating bits and still enjoy it nostalgically!

Janeway! I've been rewatching random eps, and gosh, I LOVE her. I write this from under a signed picture of Kate Mulgrew, but apparently I did need reminding. :P

We have been watching them in order, so we just watched the one where Janeway and Paris go back in time after an explosion, and the bad guy is all "we have guns pointed at the kid! we think you're a government agent! use your power to get us into the station!" and she just steps forward to the power station guard and says in her even stern tone "I am a hostage. These men are here to break into the plant." JANEWAY!

Possibly the thing I like best about my gambling multi vid that I will perhaps now never get to a publishable state due to last summer's computer crash is that I could use the shot of Harry responding to Tom's bratty subbiness by restraining him and pushing him over the pool table. No one was ever more made for that (or more loudly begging for it).

Yes! I am currently doing early-Voyager, and deciding that I ship Janeway/B'Elanna and Janeway/Chakotay and Janeway/Tuvok and Janeway/Tom Paris aaaaand basically Janeway/everyone.

I am so happy that we have begun this Voyager rewatch! And astonished at how every episode seems to consist of them flying through/getting stuck in/being sad about not being able to go through remarkably vaginey holes in space. VOYAGER! Oh my gosh I missed it so much.

SUCH a great show. Have also been rewatching it lately, randomly clicking on episodes and omg but does every single science ep deal with graviton waves? We watched three in a row the other night and heard the words 'graviton wave' used at least six times.

Also: Tom totally needs to be chained to something. And Chakotay would be an awesome top.
